Brooklyn Public Library - Greenpoint Branch |

Brooklyn Public Library - Greenpoint Branch
Brooklyn, New York

Brooklyn Public Library is rebuilding its Greenpoint Branch located at 107 Norman Ave. The original Carnegie building completed in 1906 was replaced with a single-story, bunker-style building in the early 1970’s. Partially funded by the Greenpoint Community Environmental Fund, BPL will be constructing a new facility containing a variety of flexible program/learning spaces including classrooms, reading rooms, meeting rooms and event spaces with a living roof. Levien's role in the project is to supplement the Library’s capital projects and facilities team in leading the construction of this new building. The building is currently on track for LEED Gold Certification and may achieve a Platinum rating. Levien will play a key role in managing the budget and various funding sources as well as providing expertise in the reporting and documentation requirements of pass-through City contracts.
